The ‘ V ‘ That Was Unleashed When The X Was Set Free

“I am not a racist. I am against every form of racism and segregation, every form of discrimination. I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.” – Malcom X.

It is not 1 life that has been given to me.
I’ve been living many lives you see.

How do you set that free?

Started off innocent in this land of misery.
Nomadic lifestyle has made it history.
NY is where I started off luckily.
Statuting the feeling of Liberty.
Mixed blood from wars ‘lust’ brought out the devil in me.
Same feeling of women 69 to 30 B.C.
An anger of 1980s stride i feel.
The largest revolution in history is what filled my genes with hate surreal.
A hate i could not place as it was within me.
Taking over my soul baby.
3 years a refugee in ‘ her ‘  story.
systematically 3 years, every 3 years in ‘ her ‘ story.

What does this mean to thee?
Have you ever been moved from place to place?
Have you ever acknowledged another race?

The ‘ V ‘ that was unleashed when the X was set free

It is not a rivalry between u and me.
It is a quest u see.

My journey through life.

And at this moment -> It is me.

For you

i am
just ‘ V ‘

The ‘ V ‘ that was unleashed when the X was set free

on bended knee is where i stand everyday.
submission to this truth of repression,
agression u see.
a hate produced from hate,
in the end it is just you and me.
and is it fate that has broughten us together?
don’t think its for talking about the stormy weather.
(cuz i m just here to make myself feel better)

let us feed the soul
touch the real
relive the survival of times
get over this imprisonment of the mind

we have lost ourselves in materialistic ways.
it is this curse that will hit us always
until we learn to take a moment and unwind
through these crazy spoiled days we call time
as candi staton says
we got to ‘ live a little bit more and take a little bit less ‘

The ‘ V ‘ that was unleashed when the X was set free

so put yourself to the test,
accept nothing less.
as curtis mayfield put it ‘ move on up ‘
‘ take nothing less than the supreme best,
and do not obey –
you must have your say
You can past the test’
Move on up!’
‘ remember your dream is your only scheme
so keep on pushing. ‘
keep on pushing.
you got to keep on pushing
in a different way.
it is not a sexual healing
you got to push through these little allies
you got to keep on pushing.

The ‘ V ‘ that was unleashed when the X was set free

“I believe in the brotherhood of man, all men, but I don’t believe in brotherhood with anybody who doesn’t want brotherhood with me. I believe in treating people right, but I’m not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn’t know how to return the treatment.”

-Malcom X Speech, Dec. 12 1964, New York City

through my journey the hate that produced hate brought me nowhere
my skin is just as fair
fair?
got a tint,
still placing me nowhere.
black or white
white or black
it is time we start reading the lines inbetween.

women stand up for your rights
it is time we start winning these fights
it is more than beauty you see

it is surviving times in me

times of battery
times of sexual enslavery
times of mirroring the devil back upon you
times of acknowledging the new who?
the new you.

The ‘ V ‘ that was unleashed when the X was set free

i am not just doing this to show my pretty face
hell, i could be saving my face.

yet , ‘ By all means necessary ‘
this is just 1 dream I am trying to chase.

The ‘ V ‘ that was unleashed when the X was set free.
